Last week two Holland FinTech members both based in Amsterdam, Otly and Whydonate, launched Otly!Give. It is a project which encourages children to think about how money can be used to help others.
Otly!Give is a charity platform within the Otly ecosystem, a bank for children which helps parents teach children about money, including concepts of digital money, periodic income, the value of savings and wealth distribution. With Otly!Give, children can read about charities and learn about the problems they are trying to solve by watching videos from the charities.
‘Through Otly!Give you can sit together with your child and talk about the events that are happening in the world around them and what you could do about it,’ says Lior Bornshtain, Otly CEO and co-founder. Niels Corver from Whydonate is enthusiastic about the partnership because while ‘the donations might not add up to a financial fortune, but the knowledge and insights the children acquire are of infinite value.’
Holland FinTech is proud of its members working towards such admirable goals.
