Apiax is a Zurich-based regtech company that creates digital tools to help companies master the complex world of financial regulations, and it nabbed the Early Stage Startup of the Year award at this year’s Swiss FinTech Awards.

In a blog post, the company writes that in 2018 it was also in the running for the award but failed to secure it: “Last year we were among the top five finalists in the same category but didn’t make it to the finals.” This near-miss makes their win that much sweeter, they say.

Thomas Schäubli, marketing and communication lead at Apiax, also added in a comment to Holland FinTech they are, “proud to have won such a prestigious award”. “We would like to thank our fantastic team, our customers and our partners as well as the entire fintech and regtech ecosystems for their incredible support”, he said, while concluding that the outfit, “looks forward to helping shape the future of compliance” with its technology.

The Swiss FinTech Awards awards seek to foster regional development and develop a strong Swiss fintech ecosystem with international links. Winners at the awards are selected by a panel of distinguished judges.
