Apple’s state ID feature might catalyze Apple Pay use and bolster ecosystem engagement (Insider)

Adriana Nunez , analyst at Insider, explores the opportunities that Apple Pay’s new feature would give to residents of the US. Citizens in eight states, including Arizona, Connecticut, and Georgia, will soon be able to add their state IDs and driver’s licenses to the Apple Wallet, Apple confirmed in a press release. Conti Emerges as Growing Cyber Threat (Cybersecurity Connect)

Writers at Cybersecurity Connect, explore the dissolution of notorious cyber actors that  has paved the way for a new cyber threat, according to Sophos research. A new analysis from cyber security company Sophos suggests Conti is exploiting ProxyShell — a collection of vulnerabilities for Microsoft Exchange servers, which enables an actor to bypass authentication and execute code as a privileged user. ATM market set to grow to $29.89 billion with CAGR of 4.9% (PCM)

Alex Rolfe, writer at Payments Cards and Mobile, explores the global ATM market. Its size is expected to reach $29.89 billion by 2028 and is projected to register a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.9% from 2021 to 2028, according to a study conducted by Grand View Research. Read more.

World’s top 300 pension funds see AUM rise by 11.5% (European Pensions)

Natalie Tuck, analyst at European Pensions, analyzes the fact that the assets under management (AUM) of the world’s top 300 pension funds increased by 11.5 per cent to total of USD 21.7trn in 2020, according to the annual research conducted by the Thinking Ahead Institute. Europe as a region ranked third in terms of AUM and number of funds in 2020, accounting for 27.5 per cent of all assets in the study. The region came behind North America, which was the leader with 41.7 per cent of all assets, and Asia-Pacific with a share of 27.5 per cent. During the year, Europe had an annualized growth of 7.8 per cent. Read more.
