GuardiCore Centra was selected to protect the data centre of Santander Brasil

Internal data security innovator GuardiCore was selected by Santander Brasil to provide advanced data security.

The biggest subsidiary of Santander Group, Santander Brasil, announced that it selected GuardiCore Centra security platform to provide advanced data centre security. Located in Campinas, Santander Brasil is the biggest commercial bank in the country; it has around 36 million customers, a network of 3,420 branches, it operates across all the financial markets, and its data centre is the first Tier IV certified in Brasil.

CIO of Santander Brasil, Marino Aguiar, said that the country has a very demanding market and that the bank needs to have access to the latest technology that is available to keep up with the challenges of the landscape. He added that “GuardiCore enables us to enhance our overall data centre security strategy and help our IT security team to avoid today’s advanced threats”.

GuardiCore’s Centra security platform allows the bank to supervise its east-west traffic with a virtualised data centre. This enables its IT security team to detect potential breaches and to repel intruders. The GuardiCore’s Centra security platform is the first and only product that tackles the five crucial capabilities for an effective data centre security: flow visualisation, micro-segmentation, breach detection, automated analysis and response.

Pavel Gurvich, CEO and co-funder of GuardiCore, mentioned that the company was very satisfied with the decision of Santander Brasil of letting them help to protect their assets. He also added “Our Security Platform Centra is designed specifically for virtualised data centres enabling organisations to keep their sensitive data secure without slowing down the pace of changes in their data centre as business continues to grow.”
