Core banking vendor Thought Machine launches Kid’s app: Nestlums

Stepping into the financial literacy and education space, core banking platform Thought Machine has partnered up with app developer glitchers to produce a gamified money education experience targeted at children, called Nestlums. The game is character driven and allows children to earn virtual currency through the completion of real life tasks, set by parents. Thought machine says it is important to expose children to both the concept of money at large as well as digital finance from an early age, as traditional transactions are becoming far less obvious and the role of money and cash transactions as drivers in the economy are becoming less readily apparent for young people learning to manage their finances.
