This week scientist have reported in Nature that the majority of the planet’s fossil fuel reserves must stay in the ground if the world wants at least 50% chance at meeting its target of maximum 1,6 degrees Celsius temperature rise.
On the other hand, the continued spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus has spawned a Greek alphabet of variants - as monitored by the World Health Organization (WHO). The Delta variant is now still most dominant around the world, but other mutations are gaining momentum.
