  • BlackRock, an American investment management corporation, is set to purchase Aperio, an investment advisory company, for $1.05 billion in cash
  • Visa announced its latest acquisitions, YellowPepper, a fintech company supporting financial institutions and startups in Latin America & Caribbean
  • IBM launched a new collar apprenticeship accelerator for its IBM Z clients looking to hire talent, as system administrators & programmers, and application developers
  • Ukrainian bank UKRSIBBANK is teaming up with Dreams, a financial wellness fintech startup based in Sweden
  • Oportun Financial, a USA based fintech company, announced that it has applied for a national bank charter
  • Ebury, a UK based fintech with forex and cash management solutions for SMEs, has announced a new partnership with TrustBills
  • Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and Israeli Bank Hapoalim are forming a partnership to support and promote fintech innovations
  • Yapily, a fintech startup that offers an open banking-based API platform, has announced a new partnership with KashFlow, an accounting and bookkeeping software
  • Sopra Steria is expecting an impact between €40 million and €50 million because of a cyberattack earlier this October
  • Worldline, a payments and transactional services, and Nets, a payment solutions provider, have joined the European Payments Initiative (EPI)
  • With the new version of Google Pay app, now live in the Google Play Store, users will be able to have an all-in-one mobile bank, finance tracker, and contactless payment service

The largest funding rounds we found from across the world
We have again looked across all oceans to find all investments that are relevant for the financial industry and listed the largest below. Remember, this is just the tip of the iceberg of what we found in the week going from 18th to 25th November.
  • Hippo Enterprises (Palo Alto, CA, US), an insurtech group focused on home insurance, raised $350m (€294.12m) in funding
  • Addepar (Mountain View, CA, US), a WealthTech platform, has closed its Series E funding round on $177m (€148.74m)
  • Current (NY, US), a challenger bank, announced that it has raised $131 million (€110.08m) in Series C funding, led by Tiger Global Management
  • Forter (NY, US), an e-commerce fraud prevention company, raised $125m (€105.04m) in Series E funding
  • HOVER (San Francisco, CA, US), an end-to-end platform for improvement and property insurance professionals, has raised $60m (€50.42m)
  • Cashfree (Bengaluru, India), a payments and banking technology company, has raised $35.3 million (€29.68M) in a new financing round
  • Chipper Cash (San Francisco, CA, US), an African cross-border fintech startup, has now added another $30m (€25.21m)
  • Other funding rounds which caught our eye: Square (€15 million), Flyreel (€8.4m), Facio (€4.2m), Juni (€2m)
