What is eIDAS?
eIDAS (Electronic Identification, Authentication and Trust Services) is the standardized electronic identity framework that is espoused by the European Union eIDAS services include, but are not limited to eSignatures, eSeals, eDeliveries, time stamps and website authentication protocols. As an important part of the EU economy, SMEs are encouraged to use these key digital enablers to deliver borderless services and further digitalise their business processes.
SMEs eID and Trust Services Survey
The eIDAS survey conducted by Deloitte for the European Commission looks at the current market for eID and Trust Services and explores the needs and barriers for use of these solutions by SMEs. The purpose of the survey is to identify the needs and views of SMEs in relation to key eIDAS services and to consolidate feedback vital to fine tuning the design of the EU’s eIDAS outreach campaigns and online material. In return, SMEs get to share their opinions on pressing issues and how eIDAS services could be further optimized to improve their business processes.
