He brings with him a strong track record in financial law with over 15 years experience as a lawyer, general counsel and executive director.
Throughout his career, Joost has gained particular expertise in all aspects related to credit: from the regulatory landscape, innovative funding structures, specific investor and product documentation to restructuring and litigation. He has extensive experience in the field of consumer loans, SME loans, residential and buy-to-let loans. Besides that, he specializes in asset management and has often been involved in the structuring of investment vehicles, funds and investment mandates.
Joost is the former general counsel and a member of the board of executive directors of Dynamic Credit, an innovative asset manager and direct lender active in Europe, US and Asia. Furthermore, as non-executive director of a Dublin based alternative investment fund he was responsible for Investment Management and Regulatory Compliance. Prior to Dynamic Credit, he worked as a senior lawyer in the Banking and Finance practice of NautaDutilh and as Senior Legal Counsel Finance and Litigation at Volksbank.
