About the Role
Japan Finance is part of APAC Finance. It is responsible for financial, management and statutory accounting and regulatory reporting of Saxo Bank Securities Ltd, Japan (“SBSJ”). SBSJ is a licensed subsidiary of Saxo Bank A/S and has operated in since 2007. Reporting directly to the CFO APAC, the Japan Finance Manager will be part of a diverse team of highly skilled and experienced professionals, and part of the Saxonian family of 2500+ employees globally. The Japan Finance Manager will oversee enterprise wide finance responsibilities for SBSJ, which provides significant opportunity to apply and develop skills in accounting and reporting at a operational and strategic level.
Responsibilities:
The Japan Finance Manager is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Financial statements preparation in IFRS for Saxo group reporting
Financial statements preparation in JGAAP for local reporting
Budget preparations, costs and revenues breakdown
Facilitate the review and analysis of actual costs vs budgets
Facilitate vendor payments
Liaising with external auditor to complete the annual audited financial statements
Reporting to local regulators and tax authorities
Periodic reporting to SBSJ board of directors
Manage regulator, internal and external audit inspections
Keep up to date on corporate income tax and C-tax requirements, including the preparation and submission of corporate income tax and C-tax returns
Coordinate with Saxo SSC Accounting for outsourced accounting work flow/processes
Maintain Finance Procedures Manual, updated at least annually
Support quarterly sales planning activities
Other specific tasks which may be allocated from time to time
Requirements:
A university degree with sufficient relevant experience:
Minimum 10 years experience in finance/accounting operating with ERP and accounting software, preferably in the Financial Service industry.
Knowledge in IFRS and JGAAP
Excellent skills (verbal and written) in Japanese and English languages to deal with documents that are written in Japanese and English.

• Supervising and overseeing the review, negotiation and drafting of major contracts, tender documents and other legal documents, as required by the operational departments
• Organizing and managing liquidity globally
