About the role:

We are currently seeking a Payment Tester to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with various clients within the banking sector, engaging in testing processes for payment systems. Our clientele encompasses a wide range of financial institutions, fostering an environment rich in diverse challenges and opportunities.

As a Payment Tester, you will work alongside a dynamic team comprising both junior professionals and seasoned experts. This blend of talent ensures a collaborative environment where knowledge exchange and skill development thrive.

Your future tasks:

• Execute test plans for various payment systems and applications, ensuring alignment with project requirements and objectives;
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and testing processes to support knowledge sharing and ensure traceability of testing activities;
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the testing framework to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality assurance standards;

Frequently used technologies:

• We use various tools depending on project:
• Test Management and Defect Tracking Tools: JIRA/OpenText ALM Quality Center/Octane;
• Tools used for test case management, test data organization, and result documentation;
• Tools used for creating and sharing test documentation, including test plans, test reports, and user manuals;

Our Requirements:

• Good knowledge of payment processing systems like SWIFT and EBICS.
• Deep understanding of European payment schemes like SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT), SEPA Instant Credit Transfer (SCT Inst) and SEPA Direct Debit (SDD).
• You have hands-on experience with Book Transfers, Bank Transfers, Customer Transfers, Standing Orders and Payment transactions repair.
• Experience in E2E validation of SWIFT MT messages (MT103, MT202, MT940) and ISO MX messages (pacs, pain, camt).
• General understanding of TARGET services like T2, T2S and TIPS.
• Nice to have experience with Temenos T24 and Payment Hub.
• Proficiency in testing methodologies relevant to payment systems, including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing;
• Skill in accurately documenting and tracking defects using bug tracking tools, prioritizing them based on severity and impact on processes, and working closely with other teams to ensure timely resolution;
• Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product managers, to clarify requirements, report test results, and address concerns;
• You have a good command of English OR at least basic knowledge of German (we will support you in further learning);
