The team
The Organizational Effectiveness consultancy team is part of the Global Transformation Experts (GTE) organization, which is the central hub within ING for consultants, change execution professionals and process experts. The team is working closely with senior business owners to improve teams’ effectiveness, accelerate delivery and enhance strategic decision-making.
Roles and responsibilities
As Organizational Effectiveness consultant you:
Tackle complex business challenges based on a deep understanding of our strategy, organization and external trends and developments
Deliver advice to support decision making and enable execution – highlighting the qualitative and quantitative impact of different scenarios
Help leaders crafting their vision story and formulating clear objectives and strategic direction
Translate strategy into effective organizational design, target operating model and governance
Enhance performance-based steering and improve measurement practices, to track and monitor strategic priorities delivery and impact
Work closely together with colleagues from other expert teams to ensure delivery on commitments
Bring an outside-in perspective on development of craftsmanship and methodology and stay up to date with key trends and developments relevant to our industry
Strengthen the “way of working” for delivery while safeguarding the Orange Code as a role model

Specific skills sought include:
Ability to structure problems and take action to solve them; Ability to think and act out of the box and have the courage to question, challenge and make decisions
Ability to synthesize clear takeaways from complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations, using both qualitative and quantitative methods
Strong organizational sensitivity: deep understanding of the underlying issues, opportunities and dynamics of the organization
High resilience, ability to deal with ambiguity and manage complexity
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and build trust with a wide range of senior stakeholders across the organization
Strong and persuasive communication
Track record and experience:
Master’s degree
Min 5-10 years’ professional experience in consulting, bringing a thorough understanding of consultancy methodologies and subject matter expertise
Proven track record in designing and implementing complex organizational transformations
Proven track record in delivering impact, by leading teams and/or independent workstream in the context of a broader team assignment
Experience in banking, bringing knowledge and experience of processes, key products and tools
Excellent level of English (written and spoken)
