The Global Business Services Center (GBSC) Analytics and Automation team is built upon strong contributors with leadership abilities, innovative mindsets, and with strong business and technical acumen. The team acts as an idea incubator supporting various GBSC initiatives by providing in-depth analysis and strategic guidance. The team identifies ways to leverage data for answering business questions and driving operational efficiency. We innovate using new age technologies and data analysis techniques to discover actionable insights and communicate data in new and more effective ways for influencing business decisions, encouraging long-term customer engagement, improving processes and productivity, and overall evolving the way we do business.Technology stack
• Our current primary tools for data analysis, data preparation, and information delivery: Alteryx and Tableau
• Core database environments: Oracle, MS SQL Server
Role:
• Support multiple analytics projects and initiatives within GBSC and Mastercard.
• Identify, design, and implement data and process automation solutions to support GBSC Operations and the global organization.
• Provide architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for existing and new technology.
• Work with development teams to ensure that new features or integrations are compatible with existing Tableau infrastructure.
• Participate in drafting documents and presentations for communicating innovations, ideas, or discoveries.
• Contribute to strengthening a motivated, innovative, and productive team that creates next generation analytics for the shared services center and Mastercard.
• Generate and implement ideas to continuously improve analytics and reporting services delivery.
• Work closely with analytics community of practice and internal customers (GBSC Operations) to identify short-term and long-term objective alignment.
• Understanding of Alteryx Server's architecture.
• Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
• Perform performance analysis of existing Alteryx Servers and make Best Practice recommendations
• Perform day to day administration of Alteryx Servers in Windows environments including promotion of code to higher environments.
• Develop re-useable processes that can be leveraged and standardized for multiple instances.
All About You:
• Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Load Balancer and Network firewall
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience developing on Alteryx platform.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, or any other related field. An equivalent of this requirement in working experience is also acceptable for the position.
• A candidate for this position must have had at least 3-4 years of working experience in a data analyst position, preferably in a fast-paced financial services environment.
• Experience in Alteryx Server administration and managing other infrastructure components.
• Good knowledge of Alteryx / Tableau and their architectural components.
• Proficiency in data preparation/ETL
• Strong knowledge of SQL; ability to write, execute and optimize the performance of complex queries
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner with both technical and non-technical customers.
• Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm to apply data to discover and solve business challenges and questions.
• Problem solving mentality, resourcefulness, and creativity in identifying solutions.
• Full stack experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, productizing, and maintenance of analytics products.•
• Knowledge of basic statistical analysis techniques and data mining methodologies.
