  • In a bid to develop and regulate financial products and services, the government-controlled International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) of India issued a framework for fintech entities across the spectrum of banking, insurance, securities, and fund management
  • The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) announced that it will start using a largely unused legal provision to examine nonbank financial companies, FinTechs, that pose risks to consumers in US
  • Raiz Malaysia, a joint venture company between Raiz Invest Australia and Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), enables its customers to link their bank cards via the micro-investment app through its partnership with Visa
  • Funding Societies, Southeast Asian SME digital financing platform also known as Modalku in Indonesia, announced its investment into Indonesia’s Bank Index alongside Carro, a Southeast Asian automotive marketplace platform
  • The Commission welcomes the swift political agreement reached today between the European Parliament and EU Member States on the proposal on the Digital Services Act (DSA), proposed by the Commission in December 2020
  • After a month of delay, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) finally announced the list of successful applicants

  • CertiK (New York), a Web3 and blockchain security company, raised $60M in funding.
  • TheGuarantors (New York), a fintech company building smart financial and insurance solutions for renters and landlords, raised $50M in Series C funding.
  • QuotaPath (Philadelphia, PA and Austin, Texas),a commissions tracking and automation solution for sales and revenue teams, raised $41m in Series B funding.
  • Copper (Seattle, WA, US), a teen oriented banking platform, raised $29M in Series A funding.
  • Other notable funding: Payroll provider Symmetrical.ai nabs $18.5M to streamline employee payouts, OneVest Raises CAD $5M in Funding, and Flow keeps the flow flowing, raises €3.5 million.
