This week the world witnessed the global stock market suffer its severe declines, making it the worst start of the year since the global financial crisis, and the biggest drop since the start of year since the start of the covid pandemic in 2020. Especially tech stocks were performing bad, with some serious hit on the valuations of Meta and Paypal in particular, last week.

Fireblocks (New York, NY, US), a platform that allows financial institutions to store, move and issue cryptocurrencies, has raised US$550 million (€481 m) in Series E funding
Creditas (São Paulo, Brazil), a fintech firm has secured $260 million (€226.7m) in a Series F funding round
Koho (Toronto, Canada), a fintech firm has raised C$210 million (€183m) in funding and set out plans to let customers get early access to a portion of their paycheques
Rain (LA, US), a cryptocurrency platform has raised $110 million (€95,8m) in a Series B funding round
CoinTracker (San Francisco, CA, US), the market leader in cryptocurrency tax and portfolio tracking for consumers, secured $100m (€87.1m) in Series A financing
