A spectacular remake of Rembrandt’s masterpiece “The Night Watch” showcasing powerful women will be a starting point for a panel discussion. Rembrandt 2.0 will discuss with seven influential women who contribute to the economic growth in the Netherlands by stimulating entrepreneurship.
Peter Day of the BBC will moderate the discussion with the following great speakers:
Georgia Hanias:
Georgia Hanias is Head of Global Communications at Innovate Finance, a membership association for FinTech based in Level 39 - Europe’s largest accelerator space for FinTech innovation. She is also the diversity lead for the organisation, with a keen interest in promoting financial inclusion and attracting more women in banking and FinTech professions. Before her foray into agency life Georgia ran her own media consultancy for ten years.
Nicole Anderson:
Nicole is a multiple times CEO, a FinTech entrepreneur, accomplished mentor and advisor with a strong track record at board and general management level across international markets. Over the last 10 years she has worked across multiple segments within the Financial Technology markets. Nicole is active in the London and European start-up acceleration, incubation and growth arena working as an advisor and mentor to Level39, StartupBootcamp FinTech, London Tech Advocates – Women in Tech and FinTech workstreams. She is founding member of FINTECH Circle Angel Network, the largest network of independent investors in FinTech in Europe.
Chela Boscovich:
Ghela Boskovich is the Director of Global Business Development at Zafin, an award-winning provider of relationship banking solutions. Ghela’s background is in regulatory economics, with an emphasis on cost modelling and rate of return regulation pricing models in utilities. She has spent the last ten years focused on business development for core insurance and banking system solutions, the last half of which has centered on financial services pricing governance functionality. Chela also founded FemTechGlobal to bridge the gender gap in Fintech and the financial services industry.
Diana Parades:
Diana Paredes is the CEO and Co-Founder of Suade, a benchmark software platform that enables financial institutions to understand and deliver their regulatory requirements. Prior to founding Suade, Diana had a successful career in investment banking, covering all asset classes at Barclays and Merrill Lynch, across sales, trading & structuring. Whilst working in the industry, she saw an opportunity to innovate and launch her current Fintech start-up. She believes that a data-driven approach to regulation is the key to preventing the next financial crisis.
Annabel Mekelenkamp:
Annabel Mekelenkamp is Co-Founder and COO of Digital Risks, a new online commercial insurance provider that shakes up the insurance industry. Before joining Digital Risks Annabel worked in financial services for 10 years. She combines her experiences in very different fields, in both big corporates and smaller companies and she loves the sense of ownership, innovation and the energetic buzz that’s part of the start-up scene.
Conny Dorrestijn:
Listed on the Women in Fintech 2015/2016, Conny Dorrestijn has worked for over 25 years in marketing and business development roles in the international financial technology industry. She currently is responsible for global payments marketing at FIS, after the company had taken over Clear2Pay, where she was Head of Corporate Marketing and Analyst Relations since its inception in 2001.
Renee Romkens:
Renée Römkens is Director/CEO of Atria, the Dutch national institute on gender equality and women’s history (Amsterdam). As Professor of Interpersonal Violence, focusing on gender based violence, Römkens has an extensive international research and teaching expertise. She has published widely over the past three decades on domestic violence and developments in socio-legal approaches in regulation.
