17 Mar Ambitious year ahead for Spotcap
Spotcap entered the Dutch market just a year ago but has already shown great growth. It won the Global KPMG Fintech Challenge and financed over 600 companies, totaling EUR 10 million. This year, the company hopes to bring the total up to EUR 50 million.
In february they successfully closed their third round of funding, raising EUR 31.5 million, bringing the total to EUR 49.5 million in only 18 months. The funds have been used to expand their product offerings and also to optimize their current services, aiming to become the leading fintech lender for working capital.
Niels Turboer, Managing Director of Spotcap in the Benelux and the UK is proud of the big steps they and the Dutch Fintech scene took last year. Fintech went from the unknown to more mainstream and Spotcap has grown to become a solid alternative to existing financing options. A recent report has shown that the lack of financing options hinders growth and innovation for SME’s; Spotcap wants to change this and finance about 4000 SME’s this year. Their network grows and with new partners to be announced soon Spotcap will improve its market position and financing access for SME’s.
