27 Sep Holland FinTech at SIBOS 2016, Geneva

This week founder of Holland FinTech, Don Ginsel attended the SIBOS Conference in Geneva and he was one of the speaker at the Fintech Hubs EMEA session. Together with other relevant FinTech ecosystems in Europe he explained the current landscape of European and global financial innovation.

”The Netherlands has the second most digital connected infrastructure in the world and the Dutch initiated a fascinating history of financial milestones. From the invention of the stock exchange to staying ahead in financial innovation; the Dutch always stayed ahead. Adyen is a great example an one of the most relevant FinTech unicorns and one of the largest in the world: Adyen. Dutch regulators are giving full support to FinTech and show their commitment by working closely with governments and providing space for experiments.

The Dutch government even appointed a Dutch FinTech envoy (Willem Vermeend). While our network is expanding we see FinTech goes beyond generating merely consumer solutions but are developing more in the B2B space. Currently, Holland FinTech gathered an extensive network of financial innovation actors in the Netherlands and provides the knowledge on this ecosystem through events and research. More than 250 organisations have become member of Holland FinTech with an audience reach of over 10.000 people. But it does not stop at the Dutch border. Europe is becoming a relevant environment for collective regulation on the financial industry but also in the rest of the world were we established solid connections with other FinTech hubs. We share our expertise and network wherever we can in order to keep innovating on a global scale.”
