11 Aug ING Innovation Studio Announces Final Teams

Out of almost 100 applicants, four teams have been selected to join the ING Innovation Studio accelerator in September. The four chosen start-ups are Gekko, Axyon AI, Startup Insight and Holland Fintech member Surance.

The four start-ups will join the ING teams Marketplace Lending and Easy Trading Connect in the Innovation Studio in September. Initially, the start-ups will go through a period of customer segment and business model validations. Then, pilots will be developed to build long-term collaborations between the start-ups and ING.

Gekko is an Amsterdam-based start-up that provides easy-to-use online accounting and financial management services for freelancers and small businesses in the Netherlands.

Axyon AI is a start-up that focuses on artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide solutions to solve optimisation, prediction and classification problems for businesses.

Startup Insight is an Amsterdam-based company that offers entrepreneurs a Blockchain-based platform that provides insight into financial and legal matters, ranging from notary services to financial forecasting.

Surance is an Amsterdam-based start-up that provides online wealth management and retirement planning services accessible for everyone.

ING’s Innovation Studio partners promising fintech start-ups with the bank’s innovation leaders to validate new business models and technologies to create new business options for ING. “Of course ideas should be innovative, but a good idea can only do well in the market when there is an actual need. To make sure the market fit is there, we work closely together with business units across ING,” stated Adam Ayers, Co-Founder of the Innovation Studio.
