Economists around the world have been spectating exports of food and drink to the EU suffer a disastrous decline in the first half of the year because of Brexit trade barriers, with sales of beef and cheese hit hardest.
Likewise, the European Union recommended that its 27 nations reinstate restrictions on tourists from the U.S. because of rising coronavirus infections there, but member countries will keep the option of allowing fully vaccinated U.S. travelers in

  • Khatabook (Karnataka, India), a fintech startup has closed a USD 100 million (€84.3m) Series C funding round
  • Origin (San Francisco, CA, US), a comprehensive employee financial wellness platform, raised $56m in Series B funding
  • Aumni (San Francisco, CA, US), an investment analytics platform that provides the data infrastructure for private capital markets, has closed a $50 million (47.2m) Series B funding round
  • Elopage (Berlin Germany), SaaS platform and payments provider, has announced the completion of its funding round of USD 38 million (€32m)
