13 May Voldaan takes first step towards international expansion
Dutch fintech company Voldaan announced it has expanded its services beyond the borders of Benelux into Germany, as part of their international expansion ambitions.
Oosterhout-based Voldaan provides factoring for small and medium-sized businesses with an annual turnover of less than EUR 5mm. Through signing up to Voldaan SMEs are able to sell their invoices, due in up to 90 days, to third parties at a discount and in return receive cash on the same day. That way SMEs can ensure timely and stable cash flows, which is an imperative element of running a small business. While factoring has previously only been available to large multinational corporations, Voldaan now provides the same service to SMEs in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Voldaan’s expansion into Germany is part of its international expansion ambitions and a logical step to better service its customer base. Voldaan’s customers are now able to not only sell Dutch and Belgium invoices, but also invoices received from German companies.
According to Managing Director Tim Zoete, many of Voldaan’s customers regularly conduct business beyond the borders of Benelux, and most notably with companies in neighbouring Germany. Hence, it made sense to start Voldaan’s international expansion there. However, Voldaan is in close communication with its customer base to establish with countries should be next on the list for its international expansion.
Voldaan has experienced strong customer growth since it was founded. It has now been operating for one and half years and has recently acquired its 100th SME customer.
