The Allowance Starterkit is a digital platform giving parents and their children the tools to begin discussing financial literacy. Here, parents can find guidance about allowances, parenting, and financial education. The Starterkit also comes with free access to the interactive Geld is Leuk app, which was developed to make it easier for parents to talk to their children about financial matters. Holland Fintech member Otly and Centraal Beheer launched the Allowance Starterkit because they found that two-thirds of parents wanted more reliable information about financial education. Additionally, research conducted on financial literacy amongst children indicates that children who receive allowances or have bank accounts are better at saving money when they are older. The Starterkit is divided into multiple parts and includes an allowance contract and allowance calculator. The accompanying Geld is Leuk app is available for iOS and Android. More information on the Starter Kit can be found here (in Dutch). About Otly Otly fills in the gap in childhood financial literacy where traditional banks and the school system fall short. It works to improve early financial education available for parents and their children by leveraging Otly’s years of experience in business development, fintech, and financial education. About Centraal Beheer Centraal Beheer is a subsidiary of Achmea and offers insurance for both business and personal concerns, financial services, and auto leasing.]>
