November’s monthly meet-up took place last Friday and was co-organized by our member company Interoute. Impact Hub hosted the event in the back of The Royal Tropical Institute in East-Amsterdam. As the attendees flowed in, people already started networking before the event started, which lead to a great atmosphere from the very beginning.
Once everyone was seated, our CEO and founder, Don Ginsel, kicked off the event with some welcoming words. Jan Semmelhack from Interoute then continued the introductory talks with an eye-opening speech on the role of Interoute in the digital supply chain. Next, Ilse Kwaaitaal from Impact Hub, spoke about the importance of social impact in entrepreneurship and opened the way for our guest speakers.
Silvia Mensdorff from ACI Worldwide was next up, stressing the importance and order of priorities of digital payments in our current financial landscape. Bas Uildriks, co-founder of the financial crime and terrorism solutions provider Belleron continued. Bas explained the important role that Belleron plays in safeguarding banks from ill-intentioned hackers. Katalin Kauzli from Partner Hub was next to take the stage and introduced us to their white label e-invoicing platform CharlieIndia Invoicing Hub. Last but not least, Niels Kerstholt represented BitPay, a global player in Bitcoin payments. His talk was educative as well as entertaining and sent the crowd off to the drinks and networking session in good spirits.
