In 2018, our event agenda will be bigger and better than ever! We will give shape to more intimate meetings and more not-to-miss large scale events, to bring together the leaders and experts in financial innovation, technology and regulations. We would like to give you a glimpse of what we plan to do and show you our concrete list of events for the first quarter. Our flagship events this year will be our summits, in which we will focus on financial inclusion, Pensiontech, Regtech and Security & Identity, as we see most traction and developments there. Kicked off with the first Fintech Vortex last September, these summits will bring together international leaders of the industry in these fields. As Money 20/20 Europe gathers such a large network in Amsterdam, we are working together with them to do a roadshow throughout Europe, leading to the event, as well as strong co-operation at the main event in Amsterdam. More details about that co-operation will follow shortly in January. On the more intimate side, we will host frequent round tables, to enable our members or their guests to discuss market trends, challenges and opportunities and connect directly with the specialist. Some of the topics are more industry focussed, like capital markets, wealth tech, insurtech or open banking. Others are more driven by topics on regulations, covering Mifid2, GDPR and PSD2 for example. In our programs for corporate innovation & investing, intimate workshops play an important role for knowledge and best practice sharing. Main topics are tech scouting, innovative procurement and corporate venturing. We are creating opportunities for experts to mentor startups as well, aligning with our startup program. Especially for our youngest high potential member organisations, we have a program addressing their needs on meeting experts (Fintech Café), fundraising, business development and scaling up. We want to connect our members to all resources they need to be able to grow their business. For this we will address market insights, access to talent, access to customers and partners, access to state-of-the-art technologies, know-how and expertise. Especially technology development in practice, aiming at CTO’s, CIO’s and developers, will have much focus upcoming year. Also executives can look forward to a special program, encompassing board room needs for insights, network and strategy. And then we have our special events, aiming to connect the fintech space to other ecosystems, to make sure more people and businesses understand and have access to the potential of the technologies we have in our network. We will work with universities to unlock their talent pool, align research capacity and market needs and give them access to market data. Also we will set up a program for governments to dive into fintech and digitization, and continue our program to increase Fintech knowledge and use in the logistics industry. Please find the (preliminary) calendar for the first quarter below. More is coming up soon!
