At 2017’s Euro Finance Tech week, Quantoz, along with UniCredit Bank, secured an award in the “Best Cooperation Bank/Fintech” category for their Quasar project. Quasar is a permissioned, distributed block-chain based digital cash transfer app that meets regulatory and compliance standards. Both individuals and IoT machines can use the Quasar system to send and receive funds without using credit card companies or intermediary payment processors.
On January 24, Quantoz will attend the Banking Club’s Next Generation Payment 2018 in Cologne and present its Quasar project.
Quantoz is a fintech startup founded in 2013 that provides professional services centred around exploring the uses of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies across a number of industries.
Additionally, during Q4 of 2017, the company opened up an office in Gibraltar, which is the first territory in Europe to offer licenses for fintech outfits that use blockchain distributed ledger technology, regulating the territory’s blockchain industry. Quantoz remarks that it set its sites on Gibraltar because it “sees great opportunity ahead to service Gibraltar’s financial services and e-gaming industries that are increasingly interested in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency”. Their offices are in the Gibraltar World Trade Centre.
