Last week, Buckaroo, an online payment service provider, announced the partnership. Web shops using Buckaroo will now be able to use Payconiq’s smartphone-enabled payments system in the check-out process. Payconiq, which was established by ING, delivers omnichannel smartphone payments to individuals, businesses, and banks, and operates in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.
Jelle Hoes, Buckaroo’s CTO, locates the added value of the partnership in Payconiq’s forward-looking perspective on payments in that the platform is directly connected to banks. He also notes that it is, “a nice example of a solution that is compliant with PSD2 requirements.”
The payment method is available for both Android and iOS.
Buckaroo also recently entered a partnership with Reazon, a fintech that helps companies digitise their credit management processes. In this partnership, Buckaroo enabled payment services in digital payment requests for Reazon’s order-to-cash software by providing a payment link that can be used to significantly speed up the process and meet consumer demand for frictionless experiences.
