Today, the first edition of Amsterdam Fintech Week (XFW18) starts, an initiative by Holland FinTech. From June 1st through the 10th, Amsterdam will be the centre of financial innovation, hosting many fintech events. The highlight of the week is Money20/20 Europe, the world’s largest fintech conference. During the conference’s three days (4-6 June), over 5.000 fintech professionals representing more than 1.500 companies will gather in the capital. To mark Amsterdam Fintech Week, Holland FinTech presents its first edition of the Dutch Fintech Navigator. In this publication, the Dutch fintech ecosystem presents itself to the many international delegates during these events.
The Dutch Fintech Navigator gives clear insight into all fintech parties active in the Dutch market in various areas of the fintech ecosystem. The main objective of this publication is to foster cooperation and financial innovation by improving the visibility and searchability of parties involved. The Fintech Navigator builds on the Dutch Fintech Landscape that Holland FinTech published earlier this year. Don Ginsel, CEO of Holland FinTech, remarks: “By creating better insight into the Dutch fintech ecosystem we want to encourage cooperation between all parties in the fintech ecosystem, whether they are startups, scaleups, incumbent financial institutions, advisors or investors. At the same time, we want to put Dutch fintech companies on the map internationally and show that The Netherlands is an important fintech hub in Europe”.
The European edition of Money/2020 will take place in Amsterdam, both this year and next year. During Money20/20, the most prominent speakers in fintech from today’s most successful and innovative companies and startups will gather. Not only will entrepreneurs and investors be present, but also many executives of major financial institutions. This year, ING CEO Ralph Hamers will give the opening keynote speech. Next to Money20/20, more than 25 events will take place during the Amsterdam Fintech Week to promote inspiration, knowledge sharing and networking.
By organizing Amsterdam Fintech Week, Holland FinTech aims to promote Dutch developments in fintech, including in areas such as insurtech and pensiontech. Amsterdam Fintech Week is a non-profit platform on which all fintech players active in The Netherlands can present themselves by promoting their events and initiatives.
