Today starts the largest European fintech conference of the year in our beloved Amsterdam. Coming from all over the world, the spearhead of the fintech community is going to showcase the latest innovations, analyse the trends and talk about the future of the industry. The effervescence of the conference will spill to the rest of the city and an array of event are going to take place all around Amsterdam.

The conference is organized around several topics, each adapted to a specific show. Here are our hand-picked selection of must-sees, interesting talks to attends, and hottest speakers and companies to see.

ING’s CEO Ralph Hamers will be the opening keynote of the event, on Monday morning at 9.20 in The Big Top Stage. The speech, ‘A platform to success: The open digital bank of the future’, will jungle with open banking, banks’ disappearance and future platforms – just the perfect breakfast show.

An interesting fireside chat will take place between 12.00 and 12.20 at The Spiegeltent, an intimate talk where you will have the opportunity to interact with the speakers. Here Bunq’s CEO Ali Niknam will trade words with The Paypers’ CEO Mélisande Mual. A good moment to weigh what the neo-bank has under the hood.

Between 4.35 and 4.50 in the afternoon, ACI Worldwide Practice Lead Retail Banking Lu Zurawski and OTC Bank’s director Ferenc Böle will duel around ‘Using Open Banking to drive digital transformation: A first-hand account from OTP’, a discussion involving recent PSD2 and how open banking will evolve in the next years in Europe.
