Wirecard launches try before buy payment option

The company, which innovates in the digitisation of payments, has rolled out its Try Before You Buy payment option. It has also partnered with PVH Europe, which manages Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein on the continent and is one of the world’s largest global apparel companies.

The European Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein ecommerce websites will be the first sites to use Wirecard’s Try Before You Buy payment option.

The payment function allows customers to delay payment for 30 days, giving them time to decide if they would like to keep items purchased. Customers will only pay for items they decided to keep.

Customers’ creditworthiness is assessed through Wirecard’s proprietary Fraud Prevention Suite, which is based on technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning. The mechanism establishes customers’ data patterns across a number of years to gauge creditworthiness.
