Payments industry consortium Entersekt has acquired EMVCo certification for its 3-D Secure 2 access control server. Entersekt has been working closely with industry stakeholders over the last eight months for its 3-D Secure 2 solution.
Neil Bester, head of delivery at Entersekt, commented exclusively to Holland Fintech: “3-D Secure 2 is a real advance on 3-D Secure 1, especially in terms of the user experience,” he said, “but Entersekt went quite far in smoothing over the edges of the first version of the protocol. As a mobile-oriented company, we spend a lot of time finding ways to make it easier for people to secure their banking and online payments using their personal phone or tablet.”
“Our solution is more than just an access control server and mobile-first authentication process.” said Schalk Nolte, CEO of Entersekt. ”It’s a whole new set of payments experiences waiting to be switched on in the card issuer’s app.”
Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Cape Town, Entersekt specialises in mobile app security, strong authentication, payments enablement, biometric enablement, digital singing, and regulatory compliance.
