Spotcap and Yolt win AltFi awards

AltFi, experts in the sector of the same name, have announced the winners of their Alternative Finance Awards who will be crowned on 5 March . Many have pegged the implementation of PSD2 regulations in the Netherlands, which happened last week, as being another accelerant to an already rapidly growing sector, and AltFi have named two Holland FinTech members as leading their cohorts.

Spotcap were named as the ‘Direct Lending Platform of the Year’ for the second year running, in recognition of their continued innovation, excellent investor experience, and growth. They have taken advantage of the fruits borne of the fintech tree, offering lightning-fast SMEs loans using a unique credit assessment approach.

Yolt were instated as both the ‘One to Watch’ and ‘Aggregator of the Year’ for their smart thinking money app that allows users to “unthink money”. Their open banking driven personal account aggregator encourages greater control and knowledge of finances, and is soon to include an energy comparison tool to help households save even more. Meanwhile, the business counterpart has successfully connected with all major High St banks in the UK, and recently been rolled out to parts of continental Europe (including the Netherlands).
