Last month at its Innovation & Insight Day, Celent, a leading research, advisory, and fintech consulting firm, announced the winners for its Model Bank, Model Insurer, Model Asset Manager, and Model Wealth Manager Awards. Across these different categories, Celent sought to highlight real-world examples of financial institutions that use technology effectively, to both help them improve performance and satisfy market demands.
Institutions up for the Model Bank Awards were recognised for how they used technology in key success areas for banking. Celent named an overall winner, which was Citi, and winners for a number of other awards, including cloud adoption, innovation enablement, risk management, beyond banking, API strategy identity management, and more.
Rabobank won in the identity management award for their work with Signicat on their Rabo eBusiness feature, which serves as a comprehensive customer identity solution for banks, financial institutions, and international businesses.
Aegon Nederland won an award for operational excellent in the Model Insurer category. The Dutch insurer implemented enterprise architectural models and principles, like agile, that allowed its teams to work in a flexible manner within pre-determined boundaries, which ensured an increased time to market.
