Global consulting firm Protiviti and Dutch headquartered BusinessForensics, a provider of financial economic crime management software, have formed a strategic partnership to offer their clients access to compliance technology solutions. The combination of BusinessForensics’ digital risk analysis software technology and Protiviti’s domain expertise, regulatory experience and business acumen will give financial institutions renewed capabilities to address today’s challenging financial crimes.
Protiviti and BusinessForensics already have an established and successful working relationship. The firms previously worked together on three client projects. The new partnership solidifies the companies’ commitment to continue to invest in a standard compliance solution for financial technology firms, operating under the EU Payment Services Directive (PSD2), a new regulation intended to create a safer, more integrated and efficient European payments market.
“This is a partnership that created itself through success, perseverance and transparency,” said Owen Strijland, Protiviti Director, FinTech. Strijland said while Protiviti has long invested in knowledge of financial crime management for its clients and employees, technology was the missing link. “With this partnership, we have closed that gap, and our clients will be able to face the future with greater confidence.”
Tames Rietdijk, managing partner and CEO of BusinessForensics, said “Banks and insurance firms are facing enormous challenges these days. Some of these challenges, especially related to regulatory compliance and operational risks, also apply to Fintechs. Maybe even more so. At BusinessForensics we want to help these organizations be in control of these challenges. Together with Protiviti, we are confident the required level of control is attainable.”
BusinessForensics is a FinTech (RegTech) product vendor with their headquarters in The Netherlands and with a subsidiary in Singapore. Their ambition is to help banks and insurance companies to better protect themselves against financial economic crime risks by providing them a state-of-the-art digital risk analysis software product.
