Temenos helps Australia’s first focused challenger bank go live

Judo Bank is Australia’s first SME-focused bank, and used Temenos Infinity and Temenos T24 Transact core banking software solutions to support the launch of its platform. The roll out of the platform, according to Temenos, was carried out in “record time”.

Temenos also assisted Judo Bank in gaining a full banking license in the country.

Alex Twigg, co-founder and CIO of Judo bank, describes the process of partnering with Temenos as the following:

“Temenos worked closely with us from the beginning, and with its cloud-native digital front and back office products it enabled us to launch fast, with a low risk implementation. This allows us to cut through traditional bureaucracies and the sales-driven and property-secured status quo to transform SME banking in Australia with a focus on close customer relationships.”

Max Chuard, CEO of Temenos, commented that the Judo Bank’s platform went live in record time, and that the pace of the regulatory shift in Australia combined with cloud-native banking software by his company makes “new business models possible” and Judo Bank’s customers “the ultimate winners”.
