Flime, an Amsterdam-based outfit with an online management service for helping businesses hiring freelancers, has launched in the UK and Europe. Flime delivers a cloud-based service that enables businesses to manage their freelance suppliers seamlessly and compliantly, reducing paperwork and increasing efficiency.
As more and more people are going out on their own, businesses have to deal with how to manage freelancers. Pavel Shynkarenko, founder of Flime, speaking on the proliferation of freelancers, remarked: “freelancers and contractors play a vital role in the global economy,” continuing, “in the UK alone, there is an estimated two million freelancers contributing some £271 billion each year. Freelancers now represent six percent of the UK workforce and these figures are only going to grow even higher.”
In this gig economy, Shynkarenko says that companies want to take advantage of a flexible and mobile workforce while concentrating on their core business objectives without being saddled with administration. Flime seeks to create a “flawless” workflow so outsourcing is “admin-free”.
Flime’s services ensure invoices are tax complaint and any saved data is in line with GDPR. In the words of Shynkarenko, “whether it’s dealing with IR35 taxation reform, GDPR, the Article 13 Copyright Directive, the Criminal Finances Act, changing tax rules, and so on - we’ve got your back”.
Flime has already seen success in Russia.
