Trading with algorithms using an app. The startup BOTS by RevenYOU (based in Haarlem) has managed to attract 18,000 customers in the Netherlands in its first 4 weeks. Another 18 countries will follow in July. BOTS by RevenYOU defines trading with algorithms as the future: A better risk / profit ratio and fully automatic.
Algorithms and Trading
About 80% of all world trades run on algorithms and all professional trading houses work with it. However, asset managers and individuals do not. With the BOTS app this technique is now accessible to everyone. An important advantage of algorithms is that they only make mathematical (and no emotional) decisions. Based on very complex mathematical formulas, an algorithm “learns” to make increasingly better trading decisions.
BOTS does not make the algorithms itself. The app is a platform, such as Spotify. Instead of songs, super-smart “Albert Einsteins” can offer their algorithms on this platform. Only the algorithms that beat the market end up on the BOTS app. The Dutch startup designs all the technology itself, including the super-fast computer technology that is required to enable algorithms to make tens of thousands of decisions per second.

Currently, trading works based on the trading pyramid: The richest 3% of the world have access to algorithmic investing. For example, via the Renaissance fund from the US. They get a 30% return every year, but you must have millions to start. Then the “normal” people from the rich west follow: Access to investing via funds or self-investing, but without algorithms. At the bottom of the pyramid is the remaining 85% of the world’s population: No access to investment. 0% return.
Unfair, according to the founders of BOTS by RevenYOU. Trading must be accessible to everyone. And everyone should also have access to automated trading strategies. And now you can, with the BOTS app.
