20 Jul Blocktrail Becomes Part Of Bitmain Family
Amsterdam-based bitcoin wallet provider and analytics platform Blocktrail has been acquired by Beijing-based bitcoin company Bitmain Technologies Limited.
Blocktrail believes that, “joining forces with Bitmain is an important step forward for us, which will not only benefit you as our wallet, API and block explorer user, but also enforces our collective goal as bitcoin users, to continue the growth and advancement of the bitcoin ecosystem,“ as stated in their merger announcement on their website.
Blocktrail provides developers and consumers with tools to interface with the blockchain, through its secure bitcoin wallet, its developers’ platform and its online block explorer, which provides users with information about cryptocurrency transactions.
Bitmain offers a range of bitcoin-related services, which include Antpool, one of the largest bitcoin mining pools, Hashnest, a bitcoin cloud-mining platform, Antminer, a leading bitcoin mining hardware producer, and BTC.com, a block explorer and technology platform which will fully integrate Blocktrail’s services going forward.
Blocktrail ensures its users that “during this transition of Blocktrail services into BTC.com, all of our services will continue to function as normal and no changes will be required on your side.”
