Holland FinTech, started in fall 2014, is building an Amsterdam based hub and platform for Fintech companies. Fintech is the collective term for financial innovations driven by (online) technology. Examples are crowdfunding, Bitcoin, mobile payments, big data and more. Our members range from startups to established companies in financial services, such as banks, insurance companies or pension funds, but also include investors, governmental bodies and other stakeholders in the Fintech ecosystem. We leverage our global network and knowledge to empower our members to deliver their innovative solutions worldwide. And have the ambition to do so for an ever increasing network of members and stakeholders, worldwide. Because we believe that it’s time for a change in the financial services industry and that technology can support that change with great solutions and increased competition by Fintech companies. For our startups, we work closely together with organizations like StartupDelta and Startup Amsterdam.

Now, we seek to strengthen our team and offer the key position of Management assistant, predominantly to support our CEO.

The role of Management assistant

As our Management assistant, you will have a key role within the organization. You will be in contact with everyone inside and outside the organization and looking after the management agenda and communications. The Management assistant is the linking pin to the team at the office and ensures follow up on all communications and actions.

This includes:

  • Manage a busy and complex diary alongside effective management of e-mails and general correspondence, dealing with expenses and invoices
  • Budget and cost management. Organise and arrange travel itineraries, locally and overseas, where applicable, ensuring the most cost effective and optimal use of time.
  • Coordinate meetings including booking facilities and setting up technology
  • Plan and organise own workload, including prioritisation of current and future tasks
  • Build good working relationships with all members of the team and internal and external stakeholders is essential for this role
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of impact on others, always leaves people with a positive impression
  • Identify and implement new ways of being more efficient and effective
  • Manage and co-ordinate all other ad-hoc administrative tasks as appropriate

Your profile

  • You have a University (of Applied Sciences (HBO)) background
  • You are internationally oriented
  • You are a good organizer and can manage various projects efficiently;
  • You have the ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks effectively;
  • You like to work in a small dynamic team with high responsibility;
  • You have excellent communication skills and a are a team player;
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English (especially in writing);
  • You are a self-starter and can work independently;
  • Your know your way with Apple or Microsoft Office suite;
  • You feel comfortable (or are a fast learner) with online tools like Mailchimp, WordPress, google for business;
