Senior Systems Engineer
At SimpledCard we have a job opening for a senior systems engineer! We are looking for a skilled engineer who wants to join our young and fast growing team and is passionate about running the infrastructure of high quality next-gen FinTech products. We work agile, in a multi-disciplinary team of approx 7 people. We have a lot of interesting developments going on and we would appreciate hearing your thoughts on how we can improve our product.

SimpledCard is a FinTech scale-up company in the field of payments and expense management. We offer our clients a SaaS solution. At the core we have a complex set of applications with a complex interface. We need to make that simple and intuitive and for that we need you! We are based in the Netherlands in the city centre of Amsterdam in a unique location; an ancient church. We share our office with GlobalOrange, the company that developed SimpledCard.
What we expect from youAt least 2 years of experience being responsible for running a highly available SaaS service

- Experience with running a system in the cloud / AWS preferred
- Linux server administration experience / Ubuntu or Debian preferred
- Feels comfortable to work on compliance-regulated infrastructure
- Networking knowledge and firewall management (IP subnet, VLAN, VPN, IPSec) / Openvpn and PfSense in particular
- Webserver and load balancer administration experience / apache, nginx, HAProxy preferred
- Database administration experience / postgreSQL preferred
- System monitoring experience / Elastic ELK stack and Nagios preferred
- Deployment automation experience / Ansible, AWS CloudFormation preferred
- Virtualisation knowledge and experience
- General security and system / network hardening techniques
- Knowledge about performance tuning / troubleshooting
- Knowledge about git, github, etc.
It would be a big plus if you have experience with

- Microsoft Windows desktop
