This September, member FORM3 published a joint 30-minute webinar with EY and Thought Machine entitled ‘The future of banks is in the cloud’.

New cloud-first platforms have made the creation and the underpinning of new core banking and payment technologies more accessible than ever before. However, to realize the full potential of these technologies, organizations need to approach their work differently: from customers to colleagues, to operations, and even technology. Along with a vast array of operating models, customer journeys, and technological changes that need to be made, the migration of the existing bank to this new environment is challenging, and significant risks need to be adequately managed.

The panel was moderated by Anita Kimber, Partner (Digital Leader, Ernst & Young LLP) and the panelists discussed: where to begin with digital transformations; the risks and advantages of migrating to the cloud, and how banks can mitigate these and other risks.
