Yolt Technology Services announces open banking coverage of over 90% in The Netherlands

AMSTERDAM, February 25, 2020 – Yolt Technology Services (YTS), the leading open banking provider in Europe, is now offering API coverage of over 90% across The Netherlands. YTS now have API connections in place with leading banks in The Netherlands including ING, Rabobank, ABN Amro, SNS Bank, Regio Bank, ASN Bank, Bunq, and Revolut. The latest connections with companies such as Revolut mean YTS is the most active open banking service provider in the ecosystem handling over fourteen million API calls on average per week.

This news follows success in the UK where YTS currently connects 95% of banks enabling more businesses and consumers to unlock open banking opportunities and experiences. To date, YTS has completed over 480 million API calls, largely via the leading smart money app, Yolt. In line with the company’s ambition to drive the industry forward, YTS has recently opened up its API to like-minded businesses looking to invest in open banking technology to expand their offering whilst personalising and improving their services.

Since the very first release of the directives, YTS saw the potential in Open Banking and PSD2, becoming the first TTP to successfully make an open banking API call in 2018. The company now builds, manages and maintains account aggregation services (AIS), payment initiation services (PIS) and Data Enrichment for financial institutions and tech businesses across Europe.

YTS is available throughout Europe and is seeing the adoption of open banking technology such as APIs increasing throughout Italy and France and expects similar growth in other EU markets. YTS will continue to expand its offering through developing dynamic solutions including data enrichment and optimisation such as category and merchant recognition.

Leon Muis, Chief Business Officer at Yolt Technology Services comments:

“It is great to see an increasing demand for PSD2 API connections in our home market, The Netherlands. This goes to show that businesses are really starting to see the benefits that open banking can bring in an increasingly competitive landscape. With the Dutch bank API connections fully live for our Dutch clients, we are now ready to help more businesses in The Netherlands invest in the future of open banking.”
