Venture Capital is widely available in the Netherlands, with several strong LP’s in de shape of pension funds, Insurers and Asset managers. They invest their capital mostly on a global scale, but are increasing also looking at the domestic market. Also Venture Capital Firms are still on the rise, supported by a stromng startup and scale up ecosystem, many serial founders, but also through governement support and the European Investment Bank, for example. Business Angels, in the shape of succesful traders, bankers, founders and other are widely available, but require generally good networking skills to discover and reach.
