It appears that despite everything going on – Fintech is still the dominating force in the UK startup scene, raising $5.4 billion until the end of May in the UK alone. This is compared to $4.1 billion raised in the entire rest of Europe. One reason for this is that many analysts think that these deals had already been inked before the crisis – and that the second half of the year will look less rosy. Despite that – at the end of April, the fintech sector had 90,000 job vacancies outstanding – more than double its nearest competition.
